About the Author
Kurt Stasiak, OSB, has been a monk of Saint Meinrad Archabbey since 1975, a priest since 1980. Presently, in addition to serving as Prior of the Saint Meinrad Monastic Community, he is professor of sacramental-liturgical theology in their seminary.

Pastoral Guidlines for Administering the Sacrament of Reconciliation

While I've only read part of the book, and in fact, the first edition, I assume this edition will be very similar. The first edition took an orthodox, but very pastoral and practical approach to administering the sacrament. As an older seminarian, I felt that I knew enough based on my own experience with Confession and my life experiences in general, such that this book would not be necessary. However, My Sacraments professor, who is faithful to the Magisterium, recommended it. I found it to be a "penitent-focused" approach with many practical and pastoral insights into the sacrament. In fact, that is why I decided to purchase the revised edition from Amazon. I am looking forward to adding much valuable information to my already formed, personal database of knowledge of exposure to this sacrament.
